Terms of service

The rules, in plain English.

Last updated: April 30, 2026

By using FrameSaver you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose.

These terms are a draft for transparency, not a substitute for legal advice. Review them with a qualified attorney before relying on them as legally binding.

The service

FrameSaver displays rotating photography on your TV or other screens. Photos come from public-domain and openly-licensed archives, plus any you upload yourself.

We provide the service “as-is.” We do our best to keep it running, but we don't promise uptime, availability, or that every photograph will load every time.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your email address secure. If someone else can read your email, they can log into your FrameSaver account.

One account per person. Don't share accounts.

Your photos

You keep full ownership of photos you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited license to store and display them back to you on your own screens. We don't use your photos for anything else.

Don't upload photos you don't have the right to — and don't upload anything illegal, harmful, or abusive. If we find out you have, we'll delete the content and may close your account.

Acceptable use

Don't:

  • Attempt to break, abuse, or reverse-engineer the service.
  • Scrape our APIs or attempt to bulk-download third-party photos through us.
  • Use the service to host illegal, abusive, or rights-infringing content.
  • Misrepresent yourself as another person or entity.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time — see our Privacy Policy for details.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion. We'll do our best to warn you first, unless the violation is severe.

Limitation of liability

FrameSaver is provided without warranty. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you've paid us — which, for a service with no payments, is zero.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated “last updated” date and, for significant changes, emailed to your account.
