# FrameSaver

> FrameSaver (https://framesaver.app) is a free photo screensaver for Samsung Frame TVs and web browsers. It rotates curated open-access photography (museums, NASA and observatory space imagery, national parks) with automatic Creative Commons attribution, plus your own uploaded photos. Login is a QR scan and a 6-digit email code; no app install.

## How it works

- Open framesaver.app on a Samsung Frame TV, smart TV browser, laptop, or phone.
- Log in by scanning the on-screen QR code with your phone, then entering the 6-digit code emailed to you. There is no app to install.
- Pick a category of open-access photography, then start the screensaver. Images rotate automatically and Creative Commons attribution is shown on screen.
- It is free, with no subscription. You can also upload your own photos.

## Photo categories

- Curated categories include: Landscapes, Mountains, Oceans, Space, Cities, Architecture, Animals, Americana, Black and White, Seasonal, Minimal.
- Sources include Smithsonian Open Access, Wikimedia Commons, NASA, observatory archives (ESO, NOIRLab, Hubble, Webb), the National Park Service, and other public-domain and Creative Commons collections.
